Gouache, Acrylic, Ink, Watercolor on Wood.

"Untitled" was a way for me to play with working with wood again. I wanted to have both a drawing and a painting in one. The "wall" in the background stands to draw the fruit forward or give you the feeling it is coming towards you and about to jump out of the panel. I really wanted vivid colors as well to offset the gray background, so I mixed minimal water into the gouache and thats how I achieved the bright, matte fruit.

You can see at the bottom of the painting, a very light, glass table holding up the fruit. The fruit overtakes the table and one has to wonder why the size ratios are off. This piece is meant to be beautiful but also puzzling and questionable.
